¶ Course Information
The location for the September 2024 HAF League monthly outing will be the Pine Creek Golf Club in Colorado Springs, CO. Click on the logo if you'd like to visit their Web site. ¶ Notes
The League has played Pine Creek before but not since 2021. It was designed by Dick Phelps, who designed many of the League's favorite courses along the Front Range like Saddle Rock, Meadows and Cheyenne Shadows, not to mention Foothills that the League played during the 2024 Club Championship. Like most Phelps courses, the holes are routed with the terrain. Accordingly, Pine Creek has lots of elevation changes on the front nine. There is little water and there are relatively few trees. However, trees, bunkers and water are strategically placed to cause trouble for errant shots. Most of the greens have fair amount of slope (usually, but not always, back to front) but aren't usually very fast.
The pratice facilities are some of the worst of any course the League has played. The driving range is small (~10 hitting stations) but is at least grass in the summer. The chipping and putting areas are very small. The putting area is usually nothing like the greens on the course except for judging the kind of slopes one might expect. If planning on using the practice facilities to warm up, plan a little extra time. There is a restaurant with typical American staples and likewise typical beer and spirits collection where we'll gather after the round to tally scores.

¶ 18Birdies Tournament Information

Our league uses 18Birdies to allow us to manage scores during and after a round. We can also communicate with one another before (to RSVP or ask questions), during (trash talk!) and after the round through the app, upload pictures of our outing and other good things. We can see an ongoing leaderboard of how our fellow members are doing. Oh, and just for keeping track of scores, it's free! We highly encourage it. Use the Tournament Code in the Play section of the app to join the tournament and follow how your fellow golfers are doing on the course. Follow/friend your favorite player in the app to get notifications of round start and end and to be able to follow their progress.

The fourth annual HAF League Barbeque will be held at the home of Vicki and Todd Hubbard immediately after the awards for the competition are handed out. It is just a little over 4 miles from the golf course to their home. Their address is:
