Plum Creek was in excellent shape. It was taken over by the same management company that runs Bear Dance. It showed throughout the course. The weather was nice - mid 80s and a slight breeze throughout. There was really no beverage service out on the course. There was a charity golf event happening the same day. We were told Chauncey Billups, Kyle Lowrie and other celebrities were there. It must have been that the beverage cart was staying with them because we never saw it. It was easy/quick enough to grab something at the trailer on the way between 9 and 10, though.
Plum Creek is a fun but challenging course. The rough was long. It's got a bunch of long par 3s over hazards. It's got lots of sharp doglegs. Greens were quick but rolled true. The out-of-bounds is pretty tight to the sides of many of the fairways. For all that, it was a good test and we had a great time playing it. Those who attended would happily play it again.
They have a grass range. There's a very large putting green and a separate chipping area. Their clubhouse was closed for construction. The pro shop, bar and snack bar were located in a temporary trailer. They had some seating outsie. After the round, we hung out for a little while at one of the tables they had in the trailer. It would be fine to do that again if we played it next year and the clubhouse wasn't yet done.
