The league came together after two best friends, John Allen and Todd Hubbard, decided to get serious about learning to play golf in 2017. They had both really enjoyed the game when they'd played in the past. Todd played frequently as a kid. Both had always wanted to play more but hadn't made the time. After playing (badly) in a golf tournament in Nashville for several years (because it was in Nashville!), they decided if they were going to keep spending money to go to Nashville they might as well try to get better at the game. They began inviting their family and friends to start playing with them and the HAF League was born!
Most of the members of the League have (or had) one of the surnames Hubbard, Allen or Fast. There are a few other reasons that are more fun:
The HAF League is a Type 2 club as defined in the official United States Golf Association (USGA) Handicap System manual. Basically, Type 2 means it's a "friends and family" club that live relatively close to one another and play together somewhat regularly. We are affiliated with the Colorado Golf Association. Our club number is 8235.
